![]() I don't know if I'm just crazy or what, but I just can't help but enjoy that one. One thing that kinda bothers me is the hate that Goblet of Fire receives. I remember being disappointed by HBP for whatever reason last year, so hopefully I'll warm up to it this time around. :pįinished watching OotP last night and will be moving on to HBP. I might just turn this into an annual thing at this point. I watched them for the first time last year in December and I'm doing it again this year. It lacks the youthful charm of the first 2 Columbus films, and it completely avoids the creepy darkness of Cuaron's Prisoner of Azkaban (which is the BEST).įunny coincidence because I'm currently watching the movies for the second time. I think Goblet of Fire is the WORST HP film (even though I still enjoy it, and like it) because the director Mike Newell didn't even read the book and wanted to make it like a Bollywood film. If I had to rank them from "Personal Favorite to Least Favorite" it would be : ![]() If I had to rank them from "best to worst" like a critic, it would be : ![]() "Personal Favorite to Least Favorite" based on my own biases because I grew up with the films and experienced them at different ages of my life, favoring some more than others, having read the books multiple times each. "Best to Worst" based on technical aspects and narrative, like a Rotten Tomatoes critic stepping foot in a theater with no preference or bias, having only read the books. I enjoy every film for different reasons, but I would have to rank them 2 ways:
